A total of 111 villages are supplied with water under Dantiwada dam and 14 villages were partially submerged due to this dam. Under the dam lake, 1,212 hectares (4,000 acres; 4.5 square miles) of forest land, 210 hectares (3,000 acres; 3.1 square miles) of barren land, 206 hectares (3,000 acres; Square miles) of arable land was submerged.
In the year 18-9, 20.2 hectares (1,2,50 acres, 18.12 square miles) of land was irrigated.
The dam collapsed in the 18th year, five years after it was built.
